Costa Rica is a photographers paradise, and a way of life. The people are friendly and the Ticos (as they call themselves) live the "Pura Vida".

Picture yourself...... at an active volcano, in the glow of the setting sun, by the pounding surf, above the tree canopy, standing on a lava flow, beside a dramatic waterfall, on a secluded beach just you and your camera.

Travel to spectacular locations rarely seen by tourists. Most destinations will be in the Southern Pacific Osa district. Probably the greatest "jungle" area in all of Costa Rica which National Geographic describes as "the region with the greatest bio-diversity in the world".

You will photograph Volcan Arenal in the daytime and also in the evening hoping for spectacular night time eruptions, as well as photographing the beach of Playa Carate for spectacular Pacific sunrises and sunsets, and the Tarcoles River for six meter crocodiles. No trip to Costa Rica would be complete without the opportunity of photographing the wild and beautiful Osa Peninsula. It is almost a world of its own. Here the White-faced Capuchin Monkeys abound and Scarlet Macaws feed in the treetops.

After arriving in Costa Rica and before starting out on your photographic adventure you will be introduced to the sights and sounds of San Jose, the capital city. Avenida Central, Mercado Central, and the Teatro Nacional will be in sharp contrast to the laid back attitude of the countryside where "Hola" begins every greeting.

This photo tour will be of interest to anyone with a love of photography and a desire to experience nature first hand. Bring a lot of film or sufficient memory cards because there is something wonderful and different at every turn.

The group will be kept small so that each person will get personal attention. Our goal is to photograph both the natural and cultural beauty of Costa Rica and to learn its fascinating ecological story.

Price will include accommodations at small luxury lodges and hotels, meals and all land and air transportation within Costa Rica. Also included are all entry fees to parks and activities.
